Invincibility with any name

Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the files before proceeding. Using a text editor, edit the “wingcmdr.cfg” and “wc2.cfg” files for Wing Commander 1 and Wing Commander 2. Both files should be edited to contain “-k -b”.

Level select

Start the game with the “WC2 Origin s[series number] m[mission letter]” command line (case-sensitive).

Invincibility

Note: The file must be renamed “buymechcommander.2″ in earlier versions of the game. Copy and rename “windows.fit” so both filenames are present if the game’s patch status is unknown. Cheat Codes

Start the game with the “-TestMode” command line parameter. To do this go under the properties of your Star Trek: Bridge Commander desktop icon (right click on the Star Trek: Bridge Commander icon, then select “Properties”), then change the entry for the program to “Target: “C:\Program Files\Star Trek Bridge Commander\bc.exe” -TestMode” or something similar. Start the game and click on the new “Test Only” button. Any mission may now be selected. While playing the game, bring up the tactical display and enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function:

Easy battles

Start the game with the “wc3 -mitchell” command line. If you entered the code correctly, a voice will yell “Mitchell” when Blair is preparing to launch. Then, press [Ctrl] + W during a battle sequence to destroy the targeted ship. Press [Ctrl] + [Alt] + W to destroy all enemy ships on radar.

Cheat menu

During a mission, press [Alt] + O for invincibility, no collision detection, skill level, detail level, video mode, and audio mode options.

View FMV sequences

During the opening credits, press [Caps Lock], then hold [Shift] + [Delete] + [F10] and type “lordbritish”. Then, a menu will appear that will allow any of the FMV sequences in the game to displayed. Press [Alt] + O during flight mode to display the special menu.

FMV sequence fast forward

During a FMV sequence, press [Ctrl] + [Alt] + S.

Forced crash

During a mission, press [Alt] + Y.

Display debug information

While playing the game, press [Alt] + D.

Skip challenge mode

Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the “moonbase.ini” file in the game folder. Locate the “[Challenge]” heading towards the end of the file. The entries in this section look like “0-3=3″. The number after the dash is the challenge mode level number. The number after the equals sign is the medal you have on the level. Set them to gold here, and you will not have to complete them in the game. Set all but one to gold and complete the remaining level on gold to unlock everything. Use the following as a reference for the values:

0: Not completed
1: Gold
2: Silver
3: Bronze

Any entries after the first uncompleted mission are ignored.

Cheat mode

Select the units. Then, click the woman’s head on the left followed the woman’s head on the right at the command menu bar at the bottom right of the screen. Click the eagle between the two women. If you entered the code correctly, the word “OK” will be spoken. Click the left eagle at the top bar with the date and time to enable God mode. Clock the right eagle to advance to the next level. Select the “Armalite” on the command menu bar to reload your ammunition.

Better reconnaissance

Camouflage the scout before exploring enemy areas. That unit will be almost invisible.

Effective sniping

Team a scout with a sniper. The scout can see farther, providing more targets for the range of the sniper’s rifle.

Building defenses

The engineer is the only unit that can construct buildings and should be used to build a defensive perimeter.

Changing range and firepower

Place units in a civilian or military building. Depending on the number of units in a building, their visual range and firepower can be increased.

Grenades

Do not throw grenades upwards on a hill. They can roll back towards your units.

Mission bonuses

Complete the additional goals within a mission to find extra supplies and reinforcements.

Extra Command Points
With version 1.1, start a new game with the character name “TheGalaxyIsYours” and then press M in game to get 500 command points.
All Missions
Star a new game with the character name “TheWorldIsYours” and then double click on it to access all missions.
Special Troops
First of all, you MUST have the version 1.1 patch in order for this to work. Then create a new file called “TheGalaxyIsYours” and capitaliztion does count! Enter any mission (even a skirmish) and press Ctrl+0 and at the bottom of the screen it should say “stormtrooper”. Press up or down until you find the unit you want (I’ve gotten Darth Vader, snowtroopers, and 4 different Lukes!). Then press left to get what you chose. Oh, and if you think your guys are weak, just press Num lock+Keypad asterik (*) to get 999,999 (!) life for your selected unit!
