Unlimited Firestorm Wall
This trick allows a fully charged Firestorm Wall to last indefinitely without having to turn it off to recharge. First, fully charge your Firestorm Wall and turn it on. Then before it turns off or runs out of power, sell or turn off your power plants until the message “On Hold” appears in the Firestorm Icon. Your Firestorm Wall will now remain on indefinitely unless you build or turn on your power plants. Note: This trick works with the original, unpatched game. However, this trick does not work in the patched versions of the game.
Hints
Hijacking vehicles
Take a Mutant Hijacker into a city, find a car, truck or a bus, and select it. Then you will have control over the vehicle. They can be used as transports.
Control NOD ore processor and mining vehicle
Note: Try this trick on the “Destroy Chemical Tanks” GDI mission. Position an engineer next to the NOD ore processor and wait for the mining vehicle to dock with the structure before capturing it. You will get control of the building and the vehicle.
Kill a Cyborg Commando in with one hit
Note: This trick requires the ability to build a GDI Firestorm Wall Generator and Firestorm Wall sections. Fortify your base and develop it until you have the option to build a Firestorm Wall and sections. Then, build Firestorm Walls across any sections where an enemy can get into your base. When a Cyborg Commando is over one of those sections, turn on the Firestorm Wall Generator to kill it easily.
Baby Visceriods
Order an infantry unit into tiberium until the soldiers die to create baby Visceroids. Note: The Visceroids are not friendly after becoming adults.
Adult Visceroids
When playing as NOD, launch a chemical weapon into the enemy base that has a lot of surrounding population. The people will die and turn into adult Visceroids, which will then destroy the base. They are even a threat if the enemy has an Obelisk Of Light.
Easy building capture and profit
When playing as NOD, purchase some subterranean APCs and fill them with engineers and a Cyborg Commando. Take the APCs within their base and pop up next to something important (GDI Upgrade Center, Tiberium Refinery, etc.). Have your engineers pour out and have them take it over. The commando will protect the building that you capture. Should he fail, sell the building for an easy profit.
Winning with an air assault
The easiest way towards victory using an air assault is to take out the SAM sites. However, when you bomb SAM sites they just re-appear. When playing as NOD, purchase some subterranean APCs and fill them with engineers. Send them to the opposing teams base maker, take over the base maker, and quickly sell it. If the other team is NOD, you will first have to disable their power plants.
Easy way to destroy enemies
Build a Tiberium Waste Facility and a Missle Silo. Then when your Chemical Missile is ready, wait for your Tiberium Waste Facility to fill up again. When it does, fire your Multi-Missle at your opponent’s Construction Yard, which should destroy it. Then, fire your Chemical Missile at the Weapons factory. It may not be destroyed, but you will have another Chemical Missile ready. Also fire that missile at the Weapons Factory, which should finish its destruction. The enemy cannot build any more, or build vehicles. The Chemical Missile should make all surrounding troops Viceroids. The Viceroids will destroy most of the surviving buildings.
Protection from NOD ballistic missiles
For GDI commanders, the Firestorm Wall can be used as protection against NOD ballistic missiles. The walls should be placed above the base and/or in the general direction of the enemy base. They can have spaces in between to save on power and money. The Firestorm building should be fully charged. Turn on the wall when you hear the “missile launch detected” warning. If you have nothing else to do, you can watch the missile dissipate in the Firestorm Wall. Note: This was done with a base at the bottom of the map. It may work differently if your base is elsewhere. Also, do not send your aircraft through the Firestorm Wall while it is activated because they will be automatically be destroyed.
Tiberium vein damage
Tiberium veins will damage most vehicles, except for the following: NOD Buggy, Wolverine and Hover MLRS. This makes them excellent units for scouting vein areas. Veins also have no effect on infantry and Harvesters.
Infinite credits in Skirmish mode
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the “skrimish.ini” file in the “C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Profiles\ProfileName” directory. Change the “10000″ number of starting credits to any desired number.
NOD campaign
Successfully complete the GDI mission “Washington, DC” in Act 1 to unlock the NOD campaign.
Scrin campaign
Successfully complete the GDI and NOD campaign to unlock the four mission Scrin campaign.
Placing buildings in thunder storm with Scrin
When playing as the Scrin in either Multiplayer or Skirmish mode, it is usually not possible to place buildings within a thunder storm produced by the Storm Tower. The trick to getting around this is to power down the Storm Tower, then place whatever you want next to it (for example, another Storm Tower). This strategy will help to improve your base defense.
Hold more Tiberium without Tiberium Silos
Note: This was done with the v1.4 patch. You can increase the amount of Tiberium you can have without the Tiberium Silos. When it asks you to build a Tiberium Silo, just build something, and when it completes just cancel (preferably something expensive like a Tech Center). The amount of Tiberium you can hold keeps increasing every time you do this.

Rush tactic
This trick is useful for versus online multiplayer matches with 10,000. Play as Nod or GDI, and place a Crane. Then, build a Power Plant from each, and place them. Once this is done, build two Refineries, and place them. Next, sell one, and build another. On the other, build queue. Start building a war factory. Place it, and start to build another one. Make sure you have placed your second Refinery. Then, build two Harvesters from your War Factory. In the meantime, build Refineries and a Comm Center. The moment your Harvesters are done, start building as many Scorpion Tanks as possible. Place other War Factories and Power Plants as well to boost production. It is also helpful to place an anti-infantry base defenses near your MCV to stop the “Engineer rush” tactic. However, this uses power and is not necessary. This tactic works best on Redzone Rampage since each player starts with boosts resources as the blue Tiberium. Nod is the fastest since it has the quickest build speeds. Also, build Predators instead of Scorpions. As soon as possible, place the Tech Center, and upgrade tanks with either Laser Capacitors or Rail Guns. This will not always work, especially when you face upper level players in the higher ranks. However, it is possible to finish a battle in less than ten minutes with this tactic. It works best with 10,000, but can be done with more; however, it is harder as the opposition will have stronger weapons than you. It works well with 20 as you can use shortcuts and an extra Crane to boost production and speed of rush.
Play as NOD in Skirmish mode (demo version)
At the Skirmish options menu, hold N and click your army to unlock NOD as a selectable option. To switch back to GDI, hold G and click your army. This also works for the CPU army.
Cheap construction
Begin building a structure without enough money for completion. Then before construction stops, press R to surrender due to lack of money, but do not complete the surrender command. Wait a few minutes, then select the “Cancel” option. Now the structure will be half-completed. Note: This only works in versions earlier than v1.22p.
Free minigunners
Use the following procedure to sell the indicated buildings for free minigunners: For the GDI missions, sell a Guard Tower or Advanced Guard Tower. For the NOD missions, sell a SAM site or Obelisk Guard Tower (Obelisk of Light). First, select the “Sell” button in the Sidebar. Then, use the Left Mouse Button to sell the building. Use the Right Mouse Button to activate the selection cursor. Use the Left Mouse Button to select the building and press S. Note: This only works in versions earlier than v1.22p.
Easily selecting units
When you have many units of soldiers or vehicles, first select all the units. Then, press [Ctrl] and a number (0 to 9) to find the selected unit.
Prevent enemy from passing with Americans
When playing as the Americans, put six Rocket Soldiers and four Snipers inside a building. They will stop any enemy movement nearby, even the helicopter combat drop. The Rockets Soldiers will tear any vehicle and airship, while snipers take out Soldiers. You can use this to defend your base or specific places.
Helicopter pilots always eject with Americans
If you are playing as the Americans and a ranked (veteran, elite, or heroic) helicopter gets shot down, you can force the pilot to eject. Quickly use the green drag-box to attempt to select the helicopter as it is falling out of the sky. You will not actually select the crashing aircraft, but the pilot should eject every time.
Two armies for the price of one with GLA
Use Jarrem Kell to kill the driver of an USA or China Construction Dozer. Then, send a soldier or Jarrem inside the dozer. You will be able to construct all the installations of that army.
Allied artillery
Use the Strategy Center’s Bombardment. It will be same as the Artillery. Note: If you shoot very close to the Strategy Center, it cannot fire.
Flying man
Destroy one of the GLA’s assault trucks (Technicals) and the rebel in the back will go flying. Note: Sometimes the rebel can get hit when falling if there area lot of Technicals, however this is rare.
Honors
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the “skirmishstats.ini” file in the “command and conquer generals data” folder. Invincible Demolition Trucks
Build five or six Demolition Trucks and have a fully charged Iron Curtain ready. Drive the Demolition Trucks into an enemy base and engage the Iron Curtain on them before enemy weapons can hit them. The Demolition Trucks will not explode until they reach the target.
Trojan bus
When playing as the Soviets, use a Yuri to mind control a school bus. Load five infantry units into the bus and drive it inside an enemy base. The Allies will not fire on the bus.

Multiple unique buildings
There are some buildings that you can only build once (for example, Statue of Kane and the Redeemer/Reclamator/Hexapod Facility). However, you can actually build more then one. Get additional Construction Yards (build MCVs at your War Factory), then place the Construction Yards. You now have more than one building queue. Start making the building you want more than one of at all your Construction Yards. When they are done, place them. The more Construction Yards you have, the more statues or facilities you can make.
Spy structure effects
Have a spy infiltrate one of the following structures for the corresponding effect:
Construction Yard: Reveal fog of war from the building radius of the enemy Construction Yard.
Power Plant: Shuts off enemy’s power for thirty seconds.
Refinery: Steal $2,000 from your enemy.
Superweapons: Reset the cool down counter back to its original time.

Extra units in multi-player mode
In multi-player practice or non-laddered mode, you can get extra units for characters and vehicles by pressing [F8] and typing “extras fnkqrrm” or “extras quantifigon” (in the unpatched version). If you entered the code correctly, the message “Extras enabled” will appear. Go to the Purchase Terminal and hold [Alt] the entire time that you are looking for something to buy. There should be four new characters and two new vehicles for each side. For GDI, the new characters are General Locke, Elana Petrova, Logan, and Lieutenant Maus and vehicles are a sedan and pickup truck. For NOD, the new characters are mutants, a chef, Mutated Petrova, and Kane. Note: You will only see the new units. Release [Alt] to see the normal units. This will not work in a laddered game.

How to make mods
All the starships configuration data (weapons, shields, engines, ect.) is stored in a delimited text file which can be accessed by excel. The file is called “sfbspc13.txt” and it is located in “assets\specs\sfbspc13.txt” in the main directory of the game. By modifying these fields you can make any ship have all sorts of features. Such as: Add cloaking ability, Modify engine power levels, Add shuttles and fighters, Add/change weapons, Modify shield levels, Add more transporters, troops, mines, etc, and much more.
Be sure to save the original file in a safe place before modifying it so you can return to your original configuration. You will also need to remove the read only attribute from the file. When playing multiplayer all players must have the same file (modified or not) in order to play.
Here are some hints on modifying the “sfbspc13.txt” file.
1. The highest I have tested the engine output to is 120 each. I know that Federation ships can’t seem to go over 150 each but other races ships might be able to go higher. Engine values are located in the following areas: R_L_Warp, C_Warp, Impulse, Apr, Battery.
2. Shields can be modified to very high values for Federation ships (2000) but Klingon ships don’t seem to be able to reach as high. Shield values are located in the following areas: Shield 1, Shield 2_6, Shield 3_5, Shield 4, Shield Total. Shields cover each ship on 6 sides. Therefore the values in Shield 2_6 and Shield 3_5 each represent 2 sides of the ship. The value you place in Shield Total = (shield 1) +((shield2_6) x 2) + ((shield3_5) x 2) + (shield4).
3. Weapons can be changed to any type within an existing group. You can also change the number of weapons (up to 4) within an existing group (missiles can accept higher values but I do not know where the breaking point is on these). You can’t add new groups of weapons. You can only modify the existing weapon hardpoints. Weapons are arranged in these areas: heavy weapon (photons, rockets, plasma, etc) and weapon (phasers, disrupters, ect). Weapon arcs vary but I do know that if you put the value ALL as an arc, the weapon will fire from any angle.
4. Cloaking is very easy to add to any ship. Just go to the area that reads “Cloak num” and place a value for how much energy you want is to cost to run the cloak.
5. Shuttles are defined as base and max values. The base value is the max value divided by 3. I have successfully made the max value of all the different types of shuttles 30 and the base value 10 which allowed me to purchase quantities of 10, 20, or 30 shuttles of each type while in spacedock during the game. By changing the “launch rate” value you can define how many shuttles can launch before the ship needs to recharge itself for more launches. If you want to add fighters to any ships just find the area that says fighter bay 1 thru 4 and place the value of 6 (higher than 6 will cause game to crash) in each one of the areas and you will have 4 fighter groups made up of 6 fighters each!
6. Movement is defined in the “turn mode” and “move cost” areas. The best “turn mode” value is AA. This will give you a very agile ship. Move cost defines how much energy is used for movement. The best value I have seen for this is .25.
Glitch: Fly Admin Shuttle
NOTE: You must command a vessel that carries an Administrative shuttle and have more than one vessel in your command.
Go into a Skirmish or Campaign game. Once in play, launch all your Admin Shuttles then when your Admin Shuttles are a safe distance away from the vessel you’re on, self destruct the vessel you’re riding on. Once your ship has blown up your view should switch to one of the Shuttles
Glitch: Fly Hydran Fighter
NOTE: You must be aboard a Hydran ship with fighters and have more than one ship in your command.
On a Skirmish or Campaign game, launch all the fighters when you begin and when the fighters are a safe distance away, detonate the vessel you are on. Once your ship has blown up your view should switch to the fighter squadron
Glitch: Fly Orion Pirate Ship
NOTE: In order for this code to work you must have lots of marines and more than one ship in your command and more than one enemy.
In a skirmish or campaign game against an Orion ship, use your marines to capture an enemy Orion vessel (this explains why you need so many boarding parties). Once the Orion vessel is captured, if you have more than one enemy then you should be able to do the glitch. Self destruct your own ship and your view automatically switches to the Orion ship. This works best in the Skirmish Map Starbase Assualt.
