Cheat mode

Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the “weapons.god” file in the game folder. The ammunition count and other settings can now be altered. Edit the “armour.god” file in the same folder to get better armor.

Health lockets

When climbing on the outside of Count Olaf’s Tower, you usually go to the left to work your way up the tower. However, sometimes if you work your way to the right and peek around corners you might not normally look, you can find health lockets.

Klaus

Klaus has the ability to do more with flying with Violet’s invention; use Klaus for that to fly over things.

Levitating Loafers for Klaus

At Uncle Monty’s house you will need to make a pair of Levitating Loafers for Klaus. You will find one of the invention pieces, a pair of boots, outside the shed, above the door, in Uncle Monty’s garden. In order to climb up and get the boots, you will need to use the Brilliant Bopper (or the Fruit Flinger) to knock over the water cans that hang from the second floor windows. The spilled water will cause giant flowers to grow. You can then jump on these to get over to the roof and grab the boots.

Making the Fruitflinger

Go up to the West Hall. There is an enemy around the corner. With Klaus, go to the wall and wait, then hit her. Go to the cabinet and push it. Go in the secret room. On the way to the piano in the main room, there is fan. Take it. Then, go to the kitchen . Another enemy is there. He will throw three meatballs at you. After he throws them at you, run up to him and hit him. Repeat the process until you win.

Protect Aunt Josephine from Leeches

Aim your Peppermint Popper closely in front of her feet. Once it is aimed properly, do not stop firing. This should work for all of the Leeches.

Press [Esc] to pause the timer and simply look up the answer to the current question.

Extra food

This trick requires at least two kids. First, find a mushroom. Put one kid next to it, then quickly put another next to it to get double food.

Mission select

Health upgrades

Collect ten health icons to upgrade your total health. This can be repeated.

Stamina upgrades

Collect ten stamina icons to upgrade your total stamina. This can be repeated.

Play as Ram

Successfully complete The Good Son mission to unlock Ram.

Play as Ram’s brother

Successfully complete The Father mission to unlock Ram’s brother.

Bike in the Bull Ring appears

Successfully complete the Kill The Bull mission for a bike in the Bull Ring to appear.

DEA and military vans appear

Successfully complete the Make Elvez Sing mission for locked DEA and military vans to appear. After the game is completed, some of them will become unlocked.

Racing cars appear

Successfully complete the Steal The Wheels mission for racing cars to appear.

artifact level: Exploration (already at maximum when game starts). Recommended value “2″.

Furthermore, you can search the bottom of a file that has a section marked “playercount [#]“. The values for “player 0″ are for your character. You can edit the values of “startingcredits”, “startingmetal”, and “startingcrystal” as desired, to a maximum of “9999″.

Stealing resources

Use the following trick to steak resources from other empires in Single Player mode. While playing the game, allow the other empires time to build up their resources. When you want to steal resources, save the game, quit, and then reload another empire to play as. With your other empire, go to the “Diplomacy” menu. Send the resources from your current empire to your original empire. Save the game, quit, and reload your original empire. Repeat this as many times as desired.

Accomplish the indicated achievement to get Gamerscore points:

Ensign: Win the game as a TEC player.
Acolyte: Win the game an Advent player.

Cheat: Basic Expansion
On the cheats “fieldpromotion” and “swissbank”, you can add a number, up to 5000 for fieldpromotion and 99999 for swissbank. (Example: fieldpromotion 5000) Just put a space between the cheat and the number.

Unlockable: Hidden Pictures and Themes
Go to the data folder and open the sound folder. In it you should find hidden pictures of Kurt, one of the creators. In the theme folder you will find different themes for your PC.

Hint: Custom Game/Messages
Open the Interplay directory and under data/res, find the file “valuset.res”, open it with word pad, or a text program. With this file you can edit the game. For message changing, just open the Interplay folder and find the file “messages”, again, open it with a text program. Note: Always make a back-up of your game when editing files.
